Sacred Statues, Sacred Glass, Sacred Places
A little bit about this album:Â
What is the Divine? Ask a thousand people and you'll get a thousand different answers. Unfortunately that makes us quick to fight. We argue in a hypocritical attempt to force creation and its creator into a box that matches a definition we force upon it.Â
But the Divine, the Sacred, won't be constrained by such pettiness. The sense of holiness is offered to all who stop and listen, to feel. We all who are perfectly imperfect (which includes everybody, by the way, not just the frozen chosen blinded by self-righteousness) can sense the perfection of the Divine, a gentle and quiet calm and peace that "surpasses all understanding". Stained glass gives us the tiniest glimpse of the Divine; a glimpse of what is waiting for us once we finish this mortal journey. After all, none of us are getting out of here alive. . .
But on a less preachy note. . . most of the statues can be found at the Genesee Catholic/Lutheran Cemetery and the stained glass is from St. Mary's Catholic in Moscow, St. John's Lutheran in Genesee, and Genesee Valley Lutheran. All are well worth a visit!Â
